Where are the in game events?

Hello,

The CN version has had a variety of fun in game events... Where are they? We even got one of the npcs for one just hanging out uselessly. Last time the event was shop only even though in CN there were ways to also get rewards in game not just the shop.
Where are the events?!? It would be a great idea to have those in between these major releases... Give people some fun.
